Principal's Page

Greetings to my Pepper family,

As the principal of the Dr. James N. Pepper Elementary School, it is my job to serve your children by providing them with principles by which they may live and learn. It is my desire to connect with your child personally and demonstrate to them that they come first. Here at our school, our goal is to provide parent satisfaction by being a school where you will know us. Our doors are always open for any parent to visit. The staff at Pepper school would like you to like us.  Please come by any time if you have a question or concern. Next, we want you to trust us… After all, we spend 180 days with your child.

Here, at Pepper school, we stress the three R’s: Rigor, Relevance and Relationships. I promise that your child will be exposed to a rigorous curriculum, content that is relevant, and staff members who are committed to developing a personal relationship with all students who are a part of our family. It is my personal belief that our school be a vital part of the community. For that reason, we offer, or will be offering, the following afterschool programs:

  • Project 21
  • Before/Afterschool Latchkey Services
  • The O.P. Elementary School Championship Winning Pepper Panther Basketball Team
  • Pepper Panther Cheerleaders
  • Pepper School Chess Club
  • Pepper School Choir
  • Pepper School Fashion Design Club
  • Pepper School Karate Club
Pepper Elementary is a MiBLSi participant which means that we are a part of the Michigan integrated Behavior and Learning Support initiative. It is a state grant, funded by the Michigan Department of Education, designed to help schools to develop systems in reading and behavior.

One of my guiding philosophies of education is “make time for people, things can wait”. Therefore feel free to call me, come by, email or text me at anytime.
