To prioritize safety, we are announcing this closure earlier than usual to give families additional time to make necessary arrangements. All school-related activities scheduled for this day will also be postponed.

Oak Park Schools Community,
In light of the changing landscape of new immigration laws, Oak Park Schools remains steadfast in our commitment to providing a safe and welcoming environment for all students, staff, and families.
Every school in the Oak Park School District is a safe place for every student. Under the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), federal law strictly prohibits the release of student information without parental or guardian consent, except when legally required. Any requests from immigration officials should be immediately directed to our central office for handling.
Oak Park has long been a home to many immigrants and a vibrant community that celebrates its diversity. This inclusivity is what makes our district so special, and we are dedicated to ensuring that every child feels safe, supported, and valued within our schools.
