Career Technical Education
Oak Park School District offers career based classes. Our career classes give High School students the opportunity to participate in an internship program and gain skills for entry level employment upon graduation.

HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)
The HOSA course offers students the opportunity to study a wide variety of basic health based employability skills that are applicable to many careers in the health delivery system. Students receive hands-on experience through work situations at local nursing homes and hospitals. This is a two-hour block class. Students automatically become members of HOSA (vocational student organization) when they enroll.
This class also fulfills the health requirement.
Oak Park School District also offers off campus career classes.
OPHS partners with the Oakland Schools Career Technical Campus in Royal Oak for enhanced career based programs. We look to provide meaningful, experience-driven learning which will help our students explore their own direction, experience amazing opportunities and prepare to excel in the real world.
Experience is everything. Our students will connect to a dynamic, engaging and collegiate environment where they are encouraged to succeed as a professional.
These programs allow parents to save money! Students earn critical business and industry certifications, required licenses and tuition-free college credits.
Our students are provided opportunities to learn from the best, to become the best, and work alongside highly experienced instructors using the same tools and equipment as professionals.
